Kayleigh’s Facial Aesthetic Journey – The Big Day!

Overall, my experience with Dr Teo and having wrinkle reduction treatment for the first time has been amazing. I’m so pleased with the results on my wedding day and when I finally got my wedding pictures through, I was so thrilled not to see those usual lines that frustrate me! I felt so confident and happy (even though I was crippled with nerves). It gave me a lovely lift, particularly around my eyebrows and I’ve received so many compliments since – who would have thought you could receive compliments on your eyebrows? My make-up artist also noticed a huge difference between my trial to the actual day, she said my skin looked flawless and I know that it was down to this treatment!

The team were just brilliant throughout my whole experience and I’m so thrilled I wentthrough with it. Treatment to reduce wrinkles doesn’t have to be about changing your face, Dr Teo taught me that it’s about what is right for you and your facial structure, your age and what kind of look you want. I would highly recommend to anybody who is thinking of doing it, as long as it’s for you!

Kayleigh’s Facial Aesthetic Journey – Seeing the Change

It’s been two weeks since I first had my anti-ageing treatment with Dr Teodor at Walpole and with just one week left till my wedding, the excitement (and nerves) have really been building up.

In case you haven’t read my first treatment blog, I wanted to get it done because all the women in my family have suffered from having deep lines around the eyes and on the forehead.

It’s something I’ve felt insecure about for a very long time.

I really couldn’t be happier to say that their treatment works, it really works! I just love seeing the difference in my face every day, whenever I catch a glance of myself in the mirror I just can’t help but smile!

The creases around my eyes have almost entirely gone, all that’s left are shallow lines that leave my face with a very natural look. My forehead has completely smoothed out, all the lines that I’ve had since I was a teenager have just vanished, it’s an amazing change and I really don’t want those lines to come back!

As an added bonus, my eyebrows have risen slightly, making my eyes look more open, generally making my face look younger, giving me a whole new energy!

Of course I’m not the only one to have noticed these changes. I’m constantly getting compliments from friends and family, who can really tell that something about my face has changed, but they just can’t put their finger on what!

Before and after!

I’m truly grateful that Dr Teodor understood exactly what I wanted from the treatment, just how important it was for me to still look like me. It’s not only about how I look either, it’s how I feel, which is to say healthier and a lot more confident about my appearance too!

I can genuinely say that overall I’m extremely satisfied with the results. I really couldn’t be happier with what they’ve done for me, especially to prepare for such a big day of my life.

I’ll be posting my wedding day update in the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for updates.

The amusing animation poses several questions for prospective patients to ask their orthodontist based on their individual circumstances, including “Can you show me cases that you’ve treated that are similar to mine?” and “How will your treatment plan affect my facial profile?”.

Kayleigh’s Facial Aesthetic Journey – The Treatment

Why did I decide to have treatment?

Although everyone from my mother, to my best friend, to my fiancé’s cousin told me that I didn’t need it, I was adamant that for my wedding I wanted it done. At 26 years old, it seems too young for many to be considering it, however, I think my reasons were responsible. I didn’t want it to change my face, I just wanted the lines to be softer around my eyes and forehead. Around the eyes is something that all the women in my family suffer with and has been an insecurity of mine for a long time. Wrinkle reduction treatment offered me the opportunity to be rid of that insecurity on one of the most special days of my life, my wedding. So why not?

My trip to Walpole

The first thing I noticed was how modern and beautifully decorated the practice was. I was greeted at the front desk by Barbara, the treatment coordinator, who with a warm smile put me at ease instantly. I was moved through to the waiting room where there was a Nespresso machine and water available, along with comfortable seating. I was then taken through to my appointment where Barbara discussed all aspects of the treatment, how it would work on the day and how long it would take. I went away feeling much better about the treatment, but I must admit still nervous!

Treatment Day!

The day of my treatment I was undeniably anxious. I am a complete worrier on a normal day and I have a bad habit of researching everything so that I can analyse and process the information. Thus, having wrinkle reduction treatment, a somewhat scary experience to a newbie, was no different!

Running late and arriving agitated, stressed and out of breath I was greeted by a lovely receptionist who calmed me down instantly, told me not to worry and helped me with a glass of water. My appointment with Dr Teodor was fantastic and he was wonderfully charming and funny throughout. We spent the first 25 minutes running through the ins and outs of wrinkle reduction treatment, why it exists, what it does to the face and the difference it can make between a younger person receiving the treatment and an older person. I was surprised by how much information we discussed and how much of this was not available online!

Although Dr Teodor said ‘women are always plucking or waxing their eyebrows, this is no more painful than that’, I was sceptical – I mean he was injecting my face! BUT it really wasn’t, in fact I’d rather sit through another round of it than get my eyebrows threaded next week! However, word of warning: don’t schedule any meetings straight after as for the first 40 minutes I did look like a horned dragon. Don’t panic though, this is just the entry point of the needle and goes down very quickly! I did have a slight headache for a few hours after but it wasn’t severe and calmed down after a little while.

Overall, my experience with Walpole was fantastic. The entire team put me at ease from beginning to end and I cannot wait to see the results! With my wedding happening in just 3 weeks I am feeling so much more confident about my appearance.

I’ll be posting my results in the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for updates.

Annie Grace’s Invisalign Journey – Day 1

Follow Annie Grace’s patient journey as she perfects her smile through Invisalign at Walpole

“So today was the big day and after years of being unhappy with my smile & posing for photos with a classic ‘Smize’ (those who watch Americas next top model will know what i mean) or a mean and moody pose rather than a cheeky grin I am FINALLY doing something about it with the help of the amazing Orthodontists at Walpole in Thames Ditton.

I actually did have Train tracks when i was about 13 but being the rebellious teen I was I decided to ignore my Mother and not wear my retainers after treatment, hence why I am back here- Wear your Retainers Kids!

So here are my teeth right now (excuse the makeupless post gym face)….

I have a very narrow jaw and a long face so it’s the two bunny teeth at the front which bother me most. I really have had the most unflattering pictures of them taken whilst gigging in mid song!

The idea is to straighten all of my teeth out, push the bunny teeth back into line and widen my jaw slightly, all of which i watched on the mini video before receiving my first set of invisaligns! I also have a chip in my front tooth (a Microphone incident) which will be sorted out once my invisalign treatment is over and I have a fabulous set of pearly whites!

So today was a pretty quick process, simply a case of showing me how to take the Invisaligns in and out, a brief of how to care for them (drinking gin with them in is a no no sadly!) & just a quick check that they fit properly. A OK!

They are slightly achey right now which can only be a good thing as it’s a sign they’re moving my teeth and I have a slight lisp which i’m hoping will go once i get used to them.

As for the look of them, they are brilliant- you literally cannot tell i have braces in!

I have a busy weekend of gigs ahead so I will update you guys next week on how singing with them in is- WISH ME LUCK!

AG xx”
